Welcome — I’m Glad You’re Here

I’m so glad you found my page.

Do you feel stressed, anxious, down or overwhelmed?

Are you struggling with  relationships, career decisions, parenting challenges or even physical pain?

For over 30 years, I’ve helped people improve their lives, relationships, parenting, and overall well-being.

Together, we work in a collaborative and supportive way to understand what’s keeping you stuck and help you move toward greater peace, happiness, and fulfillment.

You don’t have to do this alone — I can help.

If you’re looking for an experienced therapist or psychologist to help you find calm, clarity, and direction, I’m here for you. I’ve been a licensed mental health provider since 1995, serving individuals and families in Sugar Land, Missouri City, the Greater Houston area, and beyond for nearly three decades.

My clients describe me as experienced, personable, nonjudgmental, and even fun. I bring years of professional training and a deep grounding in psychology, counseling theory, and scientific research — all focused on what truly helps people create the positive changes they want in their lives.

My goal is simple: to help teens, adults, and families lead happy, balanced, and meaningful lives. I help people overcome both internal and external obstacles that stand in the way of growth. My clients often seek help with finding peace, improving mood, reducing chronic pain, strengthening relationships, adjusting to life transitions, or making healthy decisions about work and family.

Watching people grow, heal, laugh, and rediscover joy is what I love most about my work.

If you are looking for a therapist to help you shift from a difficult place to a more rewarding or peaceful place, give me a call or send me an email!

I very much enjoy working with adults and teens who are motivated to understand and improve patterns in their lives. • Professionals Struggling with Work-Life Balance, Work Transitions or Adjustments
  • Depression - feeling overwhelmed
  • Divorce adjustment
  • Life transitions, such as divorce, career changes, mid-life, retirement, losses
  • Trauma and Family of Origin Issues
  • Relationship Issues
  • Parenting
  • Stay At Home Parent Issues
  • Stress management

Overall Treatment Approach

I believe therapy should be personalized to fit the needs of each individual, couple, or family. While much of my training is grounded in evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I take an integrative and flexible approach, drawing from Family Systems Theory, Mindfulness and Meditation practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Trauma-Informed Care, and Insight-Oriented Therapy.

Some clients come to me for short-term, goal-focused therapy to address specific concerns, while others benefit from longer-term work that explores deeper, long-standing personal or family patterns. Together, we’ll find the approach that best supports your goals for growth, healing, and lasting change.

Anxiety and Mood

Sometimes people ask me, "Isn't your job depressing?"  Nothing could be further from the truth.  I truly enjoy helping people better understand and manage anxiety, depression, and mood-related challenges using evidence-based, compassionate approaches. Together, we identify patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools to restore calm, balance, and confidence. My goal is to help you not just feel better — but truly live better, with greater peace and emotional resilience.  The process of growth is a wonderful experience to be part of!

Supporting Professionals Seeking Work–Life Balance

In today’s fast-paced world, many professionals find themselves juggling demanding careers, family responsibilities, and personal goals — often at the expense of their own well-being. I work with professionals who feel overwhelmed, burned out, or simply stuck in a cycle of constant doing without enough time to recharge or feel fulfilled.

Together, we focus on understanding what’s driving the imbalance and developing realistic, meaningful changes that restore energy, purpose, and satisfaction — both at work and at home. Whether it’s learning to set boundaries, manage stress, or reconnect with what truly matters, my goal is to help you create a life that feels productive, balanced, and authentic — not just busy.

Parenting Therapy

Since beginning my career at Texas Children's Hospital I found a love for working with parents who wish to help their children feel better and to reduce the stress in their homes. I know that some kids are just harder to parent than others, and most parents are doing the best they can. Luckily, I have worked with parents for over 30 years, and am aware different strategies work for different kids and different parents.  I have experience with traditional behavior modification strategies, collaborative problem solving strategies, emotionally supportive strategies, and family systems theory.  These approaches have allowed me to help parents with kids who are oppositional, anxious, depressed, struggling with friendships.  My experience has also given me insight into common parenting differences and how they impact kids and parents.  If any of this resonates with you, send me an email or give me a call. I'd love to hear from you!

Chronic Pain Management

I specialize in helping individuals manage and overcome chronic pain. I have Advanced Certification in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) — a groundbreaking, research-supported approach that helps reduce or even eliminate chronic pain by retraining the way the brain interprets pain signals.

The connection between emotional and physical health is incredibly powerful. Using a blend of psychotherapy and brain-based techniques, PRT helps you reprocess sensations so that your brain learns to perceive them as less threatening and less painful.

I feel so strongly about this approach because I have experienced the benefits of PRT personally — it has been life-changing in relieving my own chronic knee pain.  Ask me about it - I'm happy to share my story!

Personal Note About Me

On a personal note, Fort Bend County has been a fantastic place for me to raise my family and build my practice.  So I like to give back to this community as much as I can.  I have served in the past on local PTA boards and Community Based Leadership Teams. I have been on the Board of Directors of the Literacy Council of Fort Bend County for over 10 years where I held several leadership roles.  I have also served as President and Executive Committee member for Fort Bend Psychological Association, and on the Membership Committee for Texas Psychological Association.  I am a graduate of the Leadership Forum for Non-Profits through the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, an avid supporter of Child Advocates of Fort Bend County, and am long time volunteer and supporter of Girl Scouts of America.

I currently live with my husband and cat Gizmo.  My two wonderful children are married with jobs, and cats and dogs of their own.  Our family recently expanded by one, when we welcomed our sweet grandson into the world!  We all love nature and travel, and get away to hike as often as possible!
