Margaret M. Tripp, Ph.D.

Clinical Psychologist

So glad you found me! I knew that I wanted to be a psychologist from an early age. I believe strongly in the process of change and feel that most of today’s challenges can be managed by self-awareness and preparation. With now 20 years of experience I am more convicted than ever in individuals shaping and changing their outlook and managing their emotional and behavioral difficulties. I remain more passionate than ever about helping children, adolescents, and adults change their thinking and their circumstances to promote day-to-day satisfaction, growth, and well-being. Together, let’s make sure nothing is stopping you!

Treatment Style and Approach

I believe in customizing treatment for you. The best plan is determined based on what things you are most concerned by and how those things are most impacting your life. Ultimately, you have to grow comfortable talking to me and trusting me for treatment to work. My primary therapy style is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is a form of therapy that looks at how your thoughts affect your feelings and behaviors. By better tuning in to how you are thinking about and approaching demands, together you and I can pinpoint thinking patterns or expectations that hold you up and keep you from having the end result you want in each situation. I believe that showing you how to catch yourself in faulty thought processes and actions helps you maintain therapy gains long after formal treatment ends.
